Sound is my passion
Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, I was always surrounded by music in various forms and soon developed a knack for all sorts of technical things, too.
Seeking to combine these two worlds of music and tech, I moved to Munich, Germany, to study Audio Engineering and Music Production.
From there, I joined Dorian Gray Studios as Assistant Engineer for a year, before moving back to Vienna and starting my self-employed career in all things audio.
2015-2018 – Werk X
My first foray into sound for Theatre and Musical Theatre was at Werk X, where I was part of more than 200 shows, gaining insight in to lighting and video as well.
Meanwhile, I was operating lots of different live events and concerts all over Austria, soon moving full-time into the live-audio world.
Highlights include:
Formula E Grand Prix Bern, Jazz Festival Vienna, Carinthian Summer Festival, Life Ball,
Ball of Sciences, as well as becoming a house tech / operator for the world renowned “Spanish Riding School” and “Porgy & Bess” (THE Jazz Club in Vienna).
2020-2022 – Synchron Stage
When the pandemic hit and the live events industry came to a grinding halt, I got the unique opportunity to join the biggest recording studio in Vienna as their new Stage Manager and Monitor Engineer.
In my two years there I got to be part of many great orchestra and choir score recordings, as well as Sample Libraries for Vienna Symphonic Library.
Highlights include:
“The Rings of Power” (Amazon), “Vivo” (Sony Pictures Animation), “His Dark Materials” (BBC), “WandaVision”, “Moon Knight”, “Hawkeye”, “Ms Marvel”, “She-Hulk”, “Groot” (all Marvel/Disney+), “Fortnite” (Epic Games), “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” (Disney+) and “The Unforgivable” (Netflix).
2022-now – Christchurch
After moving to Christchurch in late 2022, I have been working on a variety of concerts, shows and all sorts of events, as well as tours with “The Dead Circus” and recording sessions with “Con Carne”, amongst other.
Musical Theatre Highlights include:
“Breaking Plates” (World Premiere), “Into the Woods” & “Spring Awakening” (Ovation Musical Theatre), “Bright Star”, “Legally Blonde”, “Anything Goes” (StAC), “Shrek – the Musical” & “Mary Poppins” (Middleton Grange)
Event Highlights include:
SAIL GP 2023, GO LIVE Festival, Ōtautahi Smoke, Tauranga Smoke, and mixing Con Carne as support for SHIHAD’s Final Tour in 2025.
